  • Match Official Abuse

    Please have a look at the video link below. The video is meant to spark conversation around match official abuse and the actions and behaviours of those watching the numerous games played every day. The rise in abuse this past year has drawn attention to a problem that has become endemic and needs to be addressed actively.

  • Criminal Reference Check

    Referees are now required to obtain a Criminal Reference Check (Vulnerable Sector Check).

  • Criminal Reference Check is required for all coaches and referees within the Orillia and District Soccer Club. There is no charge for the check to be completed, but you must include a copy of the attached letter from the Club. Please take the attached form and letter from the Club to the local police detachment to complete the necessary documentation at no charge to you. You will require two pieces of ID; one must be photo (Health Card can not be one of them); preferably Driver's Licence and Passport.  Detachment hours are 8:15 am-5:00 pm and is located on Peter Street.Please note that Criminal Reference Checks take 4-6 weeks to be returned so time is of the essence.  You will be notified by the OPP when it is complete and ready for pick up.Police Records Check Link

  • Referee Courses

    1. Entry Level Referee Course (for age 14 and older as of March 31st):

    This Ontario Soccer (OS) administered course is on the Laws of the Game and hosted by our club.

    When:  Saturday, March 28th and Sunday March 29th, 2020 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm both days

    Where:

    Saturday:  Orillia Secondary School.  250 Collegiate Drive

    Sunday location is different:Patrick Fogarty Secondary School.  15 Commerce Rd.   Orillia, ON

    Registration for the Course:  All applicants must register via E2E Ref Centre:

    Cost: No cost to ODSC youth players and Ramara youth players (under 18); all others (non-youth ODSC/Ramara members or members from other clubs) $150.00.

    2.    Small-Sided Soccer Referee Course (for age 12 and older):

    This OS administered course is on the 7v7 game and is hosted by our club.

    When: Saturday March 28, 2020 - 8:30am to 4:30pm

    Location:   Orillia Secondary School.  250 Collegiate Drive

    Registration for the Course:  All applicants must register via E2E Ref Centre:

    (Note: Completing the course includes OS registration for the first year of refereeing.)

    Additional Notes for Students Applying:

    ·  These two courses are running at the same time in the same location.

    ·   Lunch, snacks and drinks are your own preference and at own cost.  Due to being in a school, it must be PEANUT FREE.  The group will be canvassed in the morning to determine if some participants would like to order in lunch (eg. pizza, subs or pitas) but optional.

    ·    There will be practical course work done in the school’s gym and you must bring suitable clothes and non-marking inside footwear for gym use.  There is no chance of being outside for this course.

    ·    Referee uniform requirements for the season will be canvassed during the course.  ODSC will be making a group order from our supplier for our Club Members.
